Products - Oil - Burner - Flow Balancing
RJM balances average burner fuel flow rates to within +/- 5% of mean flow for all oil burners. As a result, the profiles of superheater temperatures become more uniform. Excess air levels decrease, fuel costs are lowered, and flame stability improves.

Benefits:

  • Reduces the incidence of tube overheating, flame impingement
    and O2 /CO imbalances.
  • Balances average fuel flows to within +/- 5% of mean.
  • Offers more uniform temperature profiles.
  • Decreases excess air levels.
  • Lowers fuel costs.
  • Allows NOx reductions as high as 24%.

How it works:
A specially instrumented and flow calibrated fuel oil gun and atomizer assembly is inserted into each burner. The instrumented gun precisely measures the fuel flow and oil temperatures at each burner. Testing is conducted at a constant boiler load. Micro-metering valves on each burner are adjusted to balance the fuel flow.
