Products - Gas - Burner - Flow Balancing
RJM balances average burner fuel flow rates to within +/- 5% of mean flow for all gas burners. As a result, the profiles of superheater temperatures become more uniform. Excess air levels decrease, fuel costs are lowered, and flame stability improves.

Benefits:

  • Reduces the incidence of tube overheating, flame impingement and O2 /CO imbalances.
  • Balances average fuel flows to within +/- 5% of mean.
  • Offers more uniform temperature profiles.
  • Decreases excess air levels.
  • Lowers fuel costs.
  • Allows NOx reductions as high as 24%.

How it works:
Test ports are installed on the gas piping system to each burner and at other preselected points in the gas piping system. A single, highly accurate pressure measurement instrument (National Bureau of Standards) is used to record pressures at each test point. Then a computerized nodal network analysis is performed to develop correct orifice sizing for each burner to balance gas flow.
